Hanging Doll were a British orchestral gothic metal band from Birmingham. The members included Sally Holliday (vocals/songwriter), Dan Leddy (guitars/vocals), Alex Cooper (drums), Aryan Amoli (keyboards), Kev Wilson (bass/vocals) and live guitarist Dave Cox. The last line-up of Hanging Doll took form after Dan, (a classically trained guitarist with a degree in classical music) and Alex, who had been working together since 2002, invited Sally, a professional photographer, to take pictures of an early version of the band in 2004 (Alex, Dan, Kev and the original vocalist Emily Brownhill). After Emily quit shortly afterwards, Sally was recruited to fill the position. Aryan was brought into the fold on keyboards about a year later. Hanging Doll made a name for themselves in the Birmingham, West Midlands rock scene with their (official) debut album Reason & Madness. Sally Holliday’s silky, sweeping voice soars above glorious classical power metal guitar solos, haunting gothic keyboards and a massive, crunching rhythm section, effortlessly creating an irresistible British gothic rock concoction. Hanging Doll were signed to Rocksector Records in early 2012 and announced they would release their 3rd studio album, The Sacred & Profane on 30 April 2012, with the first music video for the track "Carnival Of Sin" having already been released on 22 February of the same year. However the release of The Sacred & Profane was delayed and was released on 3. September. The previous album 'Reason & Madness' is released on the record label Phoenix Music () Ltd / Cargo Records. ==Hanging Doll splits up== On 19. April 2014 the band announced on their Facebook page,〔https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hanging-Doll-Street-Team-Official/128217840579708 facebook-page〕 that Alex Cooper and Aryan Amoli had left the band. The positions of the drummer and keyboardist were open and the band went through an unfortunate event with a management company in pursuit of seeking new people to join the band. The band failed finding new members, and some of the last few remaining were also showing signs of drifting away. On 5 July 2014 Sally's letter was published on the band's facebook-page, saying that Hanging Doll are no more. After this Sally focused on working with a traditional gothic cover band "Cure For The Mourning", which Daniel Leddy had been playing guitars in. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Hanging Doll」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
